Many rare, collectors’ decorative antiques will also be on display.
About Hui Xiangyun
Born in 1968 to a family of Yixing pottery makers, Hui Xiangyun is the 15th generation descendant of Ming Dynasty potter Hui Meng Cheng. Since young, Hui learned pottery from his father and also received many pointers from renowned craftsmen of Yixing Zisha clay teapots. With such deep roots and talent in the art, he is popularly known by collectors as “the modern master of Yixing Zisha clay”.
In the 1990s, amidst fear of over-mining Yixing Zisha clay mines, Hui began to actively collect high-quality mining sources. His works, starting from material selection to production and finishing, are literally faultless and have strong artistic and collection values.
Hui devotes much time to each piece of work, from the conceptualization process to the final work, ensuring each piece is perfect and worthy of collection. Many of Hui’s masterpieces have won numerous awards and are collected by museums at home and abroad.
