TV host Kristine Lim recently met up with Sheng Siong CEO Mr Lim Hock Chee for coffee at Homes65. They were there for the interview and filming of Ch8’s current affairs show <Focus>, which will be shown on 26 May at 10.30pm. During their break, we asked the affable Mr Lim as a billionaire, what does he spend the most money on. Without a beat, Mr Lim replied “charity”. Besides annual donations made in the name of his company, Mr Lim also makes contributions to needy individuals and organisations in his own capacity.
We had the good fortune of experiencing Mr Lim’s kindness firsthand. A few years ago when Homes65 first started, we had everything ready but didn’t know about the complicated and time-consuming process of applying for credit card merchant services. Mr Lim was at the scene and immediately assisted us in contacting the banks so that we could proceed with operations smoothly. Thank you again, Mr Lim!
The second part of the interview will be broadcast on Ch8 next Thursday, 2 June at 10.30pm. During the interview, Mr Lim shared a lot about his business experiences and attitude towards others. With Sheng Siong supermarkets located in every neighbourhood and fans all over the place, Mr Lim has become everyone’s favourite but unassuming “rich uncle”.
When Mr Lim came to Homes65 for the interview, he had drove himself and came alone. It is good to see fame and fortune have not become a burden to him as he’s still going about his everyday life in the way he’s most comfortable with.

受访嘉宾林先生非常亲切随和。在拍摄空档我们闲聊中，好奇的问这位经营超市，什么都有的亿万富商，他花最多钱在什么地方？林先生说：做善事！ 除了他的企业每年都固定的捐款给各慈善机构之外，他个人也经常随机帮助有需要的个人和团体。
此外，林先生的热心热情的性格，我们也有切身的体会。homes65 几年前在刚开始营业的时候，一切准备就绪，却不知道申请信用卡收款的手续复杂费时。林先生在场听到，马上协助我们联络银行，让我们顺利的启动。在这里再次的感谢林先生！
